On episode 244 of #TSRP Spann is back with from Jury Duty, and boy did that suck. What a colossal waste of time, so you know he’s got to tell us about that experience. Then we hop In The News, as a Chicago Police union is calling for an investigation into Cook County State Attorney Kim Foxx who recused herself from the Jussie Smollett investigation. That saga continues to go on. Ex-felons in the state of Florida have had their voting rights restored after an amendment to their state constitution re-established their franchise. Great right? And ICE has made the biggest cocaine bust in 25 years just this month. But where this bust happened is not exactly where the current administration would like you focusing your attention to. We then move on to Blue Blazes, where Instagram comedian Jess Hilarious has been caught up in a social media firestorm after an anti-Sikh video she made while on an airplane, thinking that she was talking about Muslims went viral. First she doubled down, now she’s issuing apologies. Which part of it do you believe she really means? Singer Daniel Caesar has also found himself on the business end of a social media dragging after coming to the defense of white rapper Yes Julz who has been under heavy scrutiny as of late for her seemingly repeated penchant of attacking black women in her music, mostly while surrounded by black men. Caesar went on Instagram Live to back her up, but to proclaim that black people are always playing the role of victim. We’ll unpack this a bit tonight. And former head of the Democratic National Committee, Donna Brazile has landed a new political contributor gig on Fox News. She believes that she needs to give voice to the Democratic party to the largely Republican right wing leaning station. But are we well beyond that point now? Then we move on to Proud To Be An American, where a Virginia School Resource Officer was identified as part of white supremacist group Identity Evropa where he actively worked in recruiting other members. Color us surprised… Also in Missouri, State Rep Andrew McDaniel introduced a bill in the legislature to make it mandatory that all men in the state of legal age purchase an AR-15, apparently to make a point about government mandates. Yes, he’s that stupid, and he’s an elected official. And remember that story about the ex-felons in Florida who were given their rights to vote back by the passage of Amendment 4 to their state constitution. Well Republicans in Florida are seeking to yet again put obstacles in place to make it more difficult for them to exercise their voting rights. Which begs the question, at least for Spann, WHAT THE HELL IS #ADOS doing that’s different from what the Republicans are trying to do? And a woman in Connecticut had to resign her position at a public school district after her racist outburst and assault in a grocery store. Basically, we have a theme tonight, can you see it?
