On episode 256 of #TSRP We’ve got more R. Kelly In The News, as the young lady believed to have been in the infamous sex tape with R. Kelly that led to his 2008 trial, is now cooperating with the prosecutors in his current situation with the Feds over sex trafficking, and possession of child porn. His current live in girlfriends, Azriel Clary, and Joycelyn Savage are however putting out videos thanking his fans for their continued support? We’ll break that down. The US Government is apparently running out of money faster than they expected to says Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin. And somehow Democrats are to blame? And Presidential candidate, Kamala Harris wants to make everyone more credit worthy by making cell phone, rent, and utility bill payments a standard part of your credit score. Could this be the path forward, or could this hurt more people than intended? We’ll sift through this as well.

In Blue Blazes, The FaceApp is has gone viral as many were posting pictures of themselves as senior citizens using the app’s aging filter. But security concerns popped up once folks found out that FaceApp has Russian developers, who could use their images and likeness for a variety of different ad based reasons. Have we all overreacted once learning this information, and just how many other companies have we given this level of access to concerning our personal images? Is anything online really free??? A$AP Rocky is in jail in Sweden, and his representatives are speaking out about the horrible conditions where he’s being held. Many people remember his statements from 2016 concerning Black Lives Matter, and the protest happening in Ferguson Missouri after the death of Michael Brown, and they’re not very sympathetic to his plight. Are his apathetic chickens coming home to roost? Eddie Murphy has reportedly been offered $70 Million for a stand up comedy special after 30 years since his last stand up special Raw. Is there really that much pent up demand for Eddie Murphy stand up in 2019, and could this also lay waste to the argument that Mo’Nique was crazy to ask for more money based on her current relevancy as a stand up comedian? And a mother was arrested after she posted video of her daughter licking a tongue depressor at the doctor’s office and putting it back in the jar. When will this stupid stuff end?

Then it’s Proud To Be An American time where Tennessee Governor, Bill Lee signed a proclamation for “Nathan Bedford Forrest Day to be observed in the state. A white customer at a grocery store tells a Puerto Rican customer that she “hopes Trump deports you…” because that woman spoke Spanish in the store. Also, a gas station clerk asked Latino customers about their immigration status while NOT serving them in Naperville, Illinois. He has since been fired since that video went viral. And a Congressman Mike Kelly of Pennsylvania has come out and said that as a person of color, he’s not offended by Donald Trump’s recent racist remarks about Congresswomen Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Rashida Tlaib. Which is curious for the most obvious of reasons, but we’ll break it down.

Of course we close it all down with our AssHat & Champ of The Week announcements. So let’s get on with it, right here on The Spann Report Podcast!
