Episode 262 of #TSRP gets right In The News, as Wal-Mart has decided to stop selling ammunition, and has asked their customers to no longer open carry in their stores. Kroger, the nationwide grocery chain has decided to follow suit, and ask their customers to also refrain from open carrying their firearms while patronizing their establishment. So you know the gun nuts didn’t take too kindly to this, but what does Spann, as a Second Amendment proponent think of these changes? Speaking more on the issue of guns, the state of Texas went through with changes to their gun laws which actually loosens the restrictions on who’s able to obtain a firearm, and where they are legally able to be carried. This comes at a curious time as Texas has been hit with 2 mass shootings in a span of three weeks. And in North Carolina, a judicial panel of three judges have ruled that the states legislative districts must be redrawn in two weeks because the current maps are heavily gerrymandered to the favor of Republicans.
Then we get on to Blue Blazes, as Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has issued an executive order to ban the sale of flavored e-cigarettes for six months. Vaping advocates have vowed to take legal action against the move. This sounds so 2019. A group of armed men went to a Popeyes Chicken restaurant and demanded not cash, not even the safe. They wanted to much talked about Chicken Sandwich! Guess they really didn’t believe Popeyes was sold out of em. And Azealia Banks is out here doing what Azealia Banks does, hating on yet another female pop artist who’s light is shining a lot brighter than hers at the moment.
And in Proud To Be An American, we kick things off with Tomi Lahren, as her “American Inspired” clothing line, Freedom, is found out to not even be made right here in the good ole U S of A. A Mississippi event hall refused to host an interracial marriage ceremony and cited the their Christian beliefs as the reason. They later apologized but is it too little too late. Speaking of religion in the work place, a 7-Eleven clerk was filmed by a patron of the store washing his feet in the sink near the coffee. He claims that because he is Muslim that he is just adhering to his faith to wash his hands, face, and feet 5 times a day to pray. Should what he did be allowed?
And then like always, we close things out with our AssHat & Champ of The Week Announcements. So kick back and chill out with ya man Spann as we go through the craziness of the week right here on The Spann Report!
