(Ep. 328) #TSRP “Don’t Be Scurred”
This episode is really just a quick hit show. I’m talking about one thing, and one thing only on here tonight, and that is the process that I went through […]
(Ep. 10) #MSO “Ja’hn Morant” The Spann Report
(Ep. 9) #MSO “Preferences, Gaslighting, & All Of The Words” The Spann Report
(Ep. 8) #MSO “A Weird Fight For Custody” The Spann Report
Two shows in one night, let’s get it! On this episode of #TSRP we hop into a couple of Spann’s Random Thoughts before we go In The News, where both Texas and Mississippi have essentially lifted all coronavirus restrictions in their state, despite having dismal COVID-19 infection rates. The House of Representatives have passed a $1.9 Trillion COVID relief package, but will the $15 minimum wage requirement survive the Senate vote? And Johnson and Johnson’s 1 dose COVID vaccine has been approved for emergency use by the FDA, but will public attitudes about the vaccine change enough for enough people to get vaccinated, and return to some level of normalcy by the end of the year?
Then it’s on to Blue Blazes, where Mr. Potato Head has gone gender neutral, and folks are losing their heads over it. See what I did there? 😉 A North Carolina woman got her hands on some of that COVID-19 Small business loan money, and let’s just say none of that money went to the upkeep of her “business.” A Nike executive had to resign this past week, after it was publicly found out that her son used her credit cards, and possibly her inside information to float his burgeoning reseller business. And a Ferris State University professor was fired after he allegedly tweeted out racial slurs. He’s claiming his firing is a violation of his free speech, because of course he is.
Then we got some folks Going To Jail, as one Capitol rioter decided it would be a good idea to text his ex, while in the middle of being a part of an insurrection. That text exchange did not end well for that guy. And another Capitol rioter, the man who shamelessly took pictures of himself in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office with his feat on her desk, went off in court because of what he feels like is unfair treatment as he sits in jail.
Off to Proud To Be An American we go, as Republican lawmakers across the country are looking to punish school districts that teach anything from the 1619 Project. Meghan McCain was on The View this week, complaining about Joe Biden calling the decision to lift COVID restrictions by the Governors of Texas, and Mississippi, “neanderthal thinking.” Likening his comments to that of Hillary Clinton’s basket of deplorables comment. And in Michigan, the Republican controlled state Senate has OK’d $2 Billion in Coronavirus aid to be distributed throughout the state, however, they’ve blocked any additional COVID-19 vaccine doses to more vulnerable areas, saying race, and socioeconomic factors shouldn’t play a role in the rollout.
We then wrap up the show like always with someone doing something dope. We’ve got our Champ of The Week announcement before we roll on up outta here. We got a lot to get into, so let’s get to it, with the Real Talk, ALL THE TIME, this week on The Spann Report!
