(Ep. 33) #BNCPod “About James Harden…”

The #BNCPod boys are back for the 2019 year ready to get right back to the ratchet sports talk banter you’ve come to know and love. We start this year off talking football. We give our predictions on how the NFL Playoffs will play out. Then we get to talking about The College Football Playoffs. Most of this college football’s bowl season is done, and we’re about to witness yet another Alabama Vs. Clemson National Championship game. Spann brings it up to the fellas that he believes the CFP should be expanded to at at least 6 teams, or at most 8 teams, to better judge who is the National Champion. We’ll see how that conversation plays out. Sticking with football, Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers has been making headlines over the course of the last week after he was benched by Mike Tomlin for not showing up for a team walkthrough the day before the game. Brown has said he want’s to be traded. But are these antics worth the trade to whatever team he may end up going to? Walt want’s to talk about it, so we’ll discuss. And finally, James Harden, has been on a tear these last few weeks, averaging close to 40 PPG in the last 10 games. Talk on ESPN has been speculating on whether or not Harden not only is the greatest offensive player in the game today, but some have been going so far as to say James Harden is the greatest offensive player of all time. Like for real, people are having this discussion. And we’re going to have it too, as Cliff brings right to the show. And of course, the fellas will be mouthing off uninterrupted during our Winging It segment. So sit back with your Chicken Parmesan, and a cold bottle of Peroni and chill with your boys right here on The Beer N’ Chicken Podacast!

The University of Loyola-Chicago basketball team making a dream run in the NCAA tournament, and making it all the way to the Final Four. The NFL’s waffling on the decision to ban kneeling in football games. And the uproar that Boogie Cousins caused when he decided to join the Golden State Warriors team that had just won another NBA Championship. And of course, those of you who watched the show live, will have an opportunity to call in and tell us what YOU think the biggest sports story of 2018 was. (Ep. 31) #BNCPod “Bullsh*t”

The #BNCPod boys are back with episode 31 of the show. We kick things off catching up with each other after a week of doing the work and family things, and then we get right into the show. Walt gets things kicked off with talk of Carmelo Anthony, as LeBron states that he would love to have Melo join him on the Lakers. Lakers brass are mum on bringing Melo into the fold, but is this a good fit for that team? We’ll discuss. Cliff brings us the story of Brandon Browner, a former NFL player who was just sentenced to 8 years in prison for attempted murder for trying to kill an ex- girlfriend. Another unfortunate story of an NFL player involved in domestic violence. And Spann brings us back to the basketball, as the Chicago Bulls have fired their head coach, Fred Hoiberg after 3 1/2 seasons. Although the Bulls have said that Jim Boylan will be their coach going forward, who do the fellas think would actually be a good fit for that team to get back at least to the Tim Thibideau days of consistent playoff appearances, and legitimate championship contention? We’ll discuss all of this and of course, we’ll “Wing It” to close the show. So pull up your collard green and sweet potato stuffed Chicken and MGD, and kick it with your boys right here on The Beer N’ Chicken Podcast!

(Ep. 30) #BNCPod “Here We Go Again”

Episode 30 of #BNCPod is here, with your boys back again for another night of sports talk shenanigans. Of course the fellas catch up with what each of them have been up to for the past week, and then we get right into the week’s sports topics. Cliff wants to talk about whether or not this current iteration of the Duke University basketball team is comparable to the old Michigan Fab Five team of the early 1990’s. And with Spann and Walt BOTH being huge University of Michigan fans, this might get loud. Walt wants to talk about the Detroit Pistons, and whether or not it’s safe for Pistons fans to get excited about the play the team has exhibited thus far. Are the Pistons for real, or are they setting up a lot of Pistons fans to get their heart broken. And Spann wants to address another high profile incident of domestic violence involving an NFL player. This time, the player is Kareem Hunt, the featured tailback for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was released by his team this past week. But the question that Spann has is, does the average NFL fan even care what he did? And then of course, the fellas close out the show with their uninterrupted hot takes with our “Wing It” segment. The holiday season is in full swing, so we know you might be strapped for cash, but you should still be able to pull out at least a Pabst Blue Ribbon, and a chicken tinder, and rock with your boys right here at The Beer N’ Chicken Podcast!

(Ep. 29) #BNCPod “Put Up Or Shut Up”

It’s the first show after the Thanksgiving holiday, and the #BNCPod boys are back to talk their brand of sports on episode 29! We come back from the holiday with some football smack talk as Cliff is sure to rub the Bears sweeping the Lions this year in the faces of Spann. And we’re just gonna get it out of the way first as there will be a sense of mourning on the show, as we talk about how the Wolverines caught the BEAT DOWN in Columbus against the Ohio State Buckeyes. Spann wants to talk about why Adrian Peterson can’t seem to stop beating on his kids, and Cliff wants to talk golf. Tiger Woods Vs. Phil Mickleson specifically, as they played a match against each other where the winner walked away with $14 Million! Is golf going to do this more often, and have players face off like boxers, or was this just a novelty event? All of that and of course, the fellas will “Wing It” tonight to bring their own special brand of hot takes on the weeks sports events. So get that whole chicken off the rotisserie, grab a pilsner, and kick it with your boys over here at The Beer N’ Chicken Podcast!

(Ep. 28) #BNCPod “You Lose Em How You Got Em?”

Only 2 of the#BNCPod boys are on the mics tonight, as the homie Cliff had to be put on injured reserve. But we still gonna be on here doing our thing. And the homie Spann comes through tonight with whether or not Carmelo Anthony should just hang up his Js, and call it a career. Or could he see some sort of resurrection of his career in another league. Maybe do the Stephon Marbury thing and take his talents to Shanghi? We’ll discuss those options as y’all know Walt is a big time Carmelo Anthony fan. But after that, Walt wants to get into the internal drama going on with the Golden State Warriors. As tempers flared during a recent game between both Kevin Durant, and Draymond Green. A disagreement over passing the ball during a crucial possession turned into an argument over Kevin Durant’s free agency status. Could this be the rift that begins the dismantling of the NBA’s current most dominant team? And of course, like we always do, we end the show with our hot sports take of the week while we “Wing It” So go ahead and get your 10 wings with extra lemon pepper and your 40 of MGD and kick it with your boys right here on The Beer N’ Chicken Podcast!

(Ep. 27) #BNCPod “Is It 9-2 Or 2-9???”

We’re back again with another rambunctious episode of #BNCPod And the fellas are back in game form as Cliff wants to talk about the LA Lakers, and their recent acquisition of veteran big man Tyson Chandler, and what that could mean going forward for that team. Walt has been paying attention to all the hoopla surrounding basketball phenom Zion Williamson, and wonders if NBA teams should already start tanking for the opportunity to pick the kid up in next year’s NBA Draft. And Spann goes back to the Jimmy Butler well, as word of his trade from the Minnesota Timberwolves became official, and he’s now a member of the Philadelphia 76ers. Could he be what they need to put them over the top in the wide open Eastern Conference, or could he be the cancer that destroys another young team? All of that and of course the fellas will go out on ridiculous limbs with their Wing It sessions tonight. So pull up with your Chicken Cordon Bleu and Stella Artois, because you fancy, and roll with your boys tonight right here on The Beer N’ Chicken Podcast!
