Then Walt brings us the story of Chris Webber finally coming back to the University of Michigan for the first time in 15 years. And Spann jumps out there with the crazy and poses the question, Could Steph Curry be the best player of his generation, but we’re too busy talking about Kevin Durant being on his team to notice? Could Steph Curry finish his career as a top 5 all time great even? Or does Spann need to lay off the Shock Top? We’ve got all of that, and of course, the fellas will Wing It tonight. So go to your nearest Popeye’s and get your 3 piece spicy and wash it down with a Dirty Blond brew, and kick it with your boys right here on The Beer N’ Chicken Podcast!

(Episode 227) #TSRP “If It Wasn’t Important…”

On episode 227 of #TSRP we talk about what happened to trick or treating? Spann wanted to give out candy to the kids, but weren’t no damn kids! What gives? We then hop In The News, as the mid term elections are coming up next week, and the dude currently occupying the White House right now is pulling out all the racist stops to get his people to the polls. Georgia Gubernatorial candidate Brian Kemp expressed his “concern” over Georgians exercising their right to vote. He’s still also refused to step down from his role as Secretary of State. And Fox News loses it’s mind after Don Lemon suggested that white men are the most dangerous terrorist threat in the United States. Then we’re off to Blue Blazes, as a young lady by the name of Treasure, went on Dr. Phil to renounce her blackness. And people ran with it, and then it was revealed to be a bunch of BS. And some of y’all played yourselves. A man was shot by his own booby trap in North Carolina while trying to feed squirrels, and Hillary Clinton found herself in some hot water while making a joke referring to black people all looking alike during an interview. Was she out of line, or were people taking her comment out of context? Then it’s Proud To Be An American time, as bombs were sent to prominent Democrats, and high profile critics of the current White House occupant. But somehow, conservative media twisted themselves in knots to suggest that the Democrats were sending the bombs to themselves. And Kanye West has decided to turn away from politics. But does that mean he’s done being Trump’s lap dog? We’ve got all of that, and of course, our AssHat & Champ of The Week. So kick it with your man Spann this week right here on The Spann Report!

We also review the suspense/thriller film Bad Times At The El Royale, starring Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Erivo, and Jon Hamm. (Ep. 23) #BNCPod “Mayhem In Minnesota”

The #BNCPod boys are back with episode 23, and we’re hopping right back into the drama of the Minnesota Timberwolves as Jimmy Butler reportedly came at the necks of Andrew Wiggins, Karl Anthony-Towns, and Head Coach and GM Tom Thibideau after a trade that would have sent him to the Miami Heat fell through. It’s obvious that Jimmy wants out of Minnesota, but is he overestimating his value? We’ll talk about that and the reactions that are coming from across the league about this situation from the likes of Paul George, and former Timberwolf, Kevin Garnett. And later in the show, the San Francisco 49ers are finding themselves apologizing after neglecting to include Colin Kaepernick in a photo gallery filled with highlights against the Green Bay Packers. Was this apology even needed, or was this really just a way to get in front of the bullshit before people got on them about it. And of course, all three guys got something to Wing It on. So lets get right to it, with Beer, Chicken, and sports talk tonight on The Beer N’ Chicken Podcast!

(Episode 224) #TSRP “What Did The 5 Nuggets Say To The Face?”

On episode 224 of #TSRP we start the show with some listener feedback, a couple of emails, and some 5 star reviews! And then we get right In The News, as Jason Van Dyke, the Chicago Police officer who gunned down LaQuan McDonald 16 times was found guilty of 2nd degree murder. Can we expect to see more of this going forward? Detroit Public Schools students protested dangerous water conditions in their schools by not showing up to school on Count Day to bring greater attention to that situation. Then it’s off to Blue Blazes as word gets out of the prison walls that Bill Cosby was slapped in the face with a chicken patty for telling a joke… Or was he??? A donut shop in Detroit, with a VERY familiar name, is caught up in an illegal marijuana distribution operation. And did Lil Boosie REALLY give his daughter a brand new car only to tell his daughter’s mother that she’s have to pay the note on it? Say it ain’t so Boosie! And then it’s Proud To Be An American time, as an Allen Park Michigan woman tried to knock a guy’s head off for openly admitting he was a Trump supporter. And in Rhode Island, a Gubernatorial, and Attorney General candidate are both caught with almost 50 pounds of the KUSH! All of that and of course, we’ve got our AssHat & Champ of The Week announcements. So lets get right into it, right here, and right now on The Spann Report!

(Episode 223) #TSRP “Kanye West Doesn’t Care About Black People”

On episode 223 of #TSRP we hop right In The News, as Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has announced that employees of this mega store will now be paid $15 per hour after a lot of scrutiny went into the labor practices of the world’s richest man’s biggest asset. Will Walmart follow suit? And as that announcement was happening, fast food workers in Detroit were staging walkouts in their fight for a $15 minimum wage and unionization rights. We’ll discuss how effective this movement has been so far. And Brett Kavanaugh has found himself a cadre of women willing to cut their nose to spite their faces and support his nomination to the supreme court, which will lead us right into Blue Blazes! As a Trump supporter with daughters in tow goes on national TV to say that girls being groped by young boys is not a big deal. J Cole admits to not voting in the 2016 election, Remy Ma gives a silly ass defense of Bill Cosby and Kanye West went on SNL and gave another pro Trump diatribe, and yes that shit was horrible. And then we’re off to Proud To Be An American, as Donald Trump suggest that it should be illegal to protest. A Texas school girl refused to stand for the pledge of allegiance, and the Texas Attorney General is backing the school who reprimanded her, and a white social studies teacher whom was fired because of a racist slavery lesson she gave to her students is now suing claiming “reverse racism.” All of that and of course we have our AssHat & Champ of The Week announcements. So lets get right to it here this week on The Spann Report!

(Ep. 3) #BWPod “Just All Bad”

Alright family, we’re on to episode 3 of the #BWPod and this week, we’re going to be reviewing two movies that we saw over the weekend. The first movie is the new comedy film Night School, starring Kevin Hart, and Tiffany Haddish. We saw this on a Friday night in a theater that should only be reserved for blockbuster epic films like Avengers: Infinity War, and Star Wars. This movie had no business on an IMAX or IMAX adjacent screen, but alas. We saw it, and we’re going to give our thoughts on it. The second movie we’ll be reviewing, we watched from the comfort of our Living Room. This movie was released on Netflix, and it’s called Til Death Do Us Part. This movie featured the thespian talent of Taye Diggs, Malik Yoba, and Annie Ilonzeh. It was also written, and produced, and directed by Chris Stokes, and boy can you tell. Marques Houston also gets screenwriting credits for this film as well. We’ll just say this, we watched these movies so you don’t have to. But hey, we got shit to say, so listen along as we tell y’all about our trauma watching these two horrendous films right here on The BaeWatch Podcast!
