(EP. 38) #BNCPod “Team Giannis Might Get Stomped”

The fellas are back for episode 38 of #BNCPod and we hop right into it with a re-cap of last week’s Super Bowl. Cliff was right for once, so you know it’s about to go down. Then we get to this week’s sports topics and hot takes. We then let Cliff kick things off, and he gets us started with baseball, and news of the passing of Frank Robinson. Robinson, who was MLB’s first Black Manager died this past week at the age of 83. We then switch gears to the hardwood as Walt comes to us this week wondering if the Lakers should sign Carmelo Anthony. With the NBA trade deadline coming and going and not turning up with Anthony Davis in a Lakers uniform, is Carmelo Anthony the answer for that team to make a serious Playoff run in the West? And we finally get around to Spann, and the upcoming NBA All-Star game. This year was the first year where the league televised to two captains of each team picking their squad. And Spann wonders, even with all of that talent on the floor, did Giannis Antetokounmpo allow himself to get fleeced on national television with this draft, or does the Greek Freak know something that the rest of us don’t? We’ll find out next Sunday. And before we wrap things up, you know we’ve got to Wing It to send you guys off. So grab a Miller High Life and some McDonald’s Chicken Selects and chill out with your boys right here on The Beer N’ Chicken Podcast!

Happy New Year! Welcome to the first episode of #TSRP of 2019! We start the new year off with some of Spann’s Random Thoughts, and reflections from the holiday season, and then we go into the top 5 things that happened in the world that should be left right back in 2018. We then hop right In The News, as Michelle Obama was named the most Admired Woman of 2018, a Pennsylvania court has ruled that a mother’s drug use during her pregnancy isn’t child abuse. And a Ring Doorbell catches two would-be home invaders on video. We move on to Blue Blazes, where a man who’s dubbed himself “The Sperminator”is donating his sperm to women all over the world. Even rendering his services in public restrooms. And has Sesame Street gone rater R? Video has been raging across social media of Sesame Street character Grover apparently dropping an F-Bomb. But is that really what he said? And in Special Hotep Unit, we’re introduced to Joel Fedd, who tried to claim a home worth around $500K in Georgia, because he’s a member of the “Indigenous Moors.” The home was his attempt at “claiming back the land.” We’ve got Cheaper To Keep Her news too, as Love & Hip Hop stars Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena are now engaged. But is this a real relationship, or just a ploy for yet another “very special Love & Hip Hop wedding?” And in Proud To Be American, the shooter at Parkland Florida’s Stoneman-Douglass High School is revealed to have been a staunch Trump Supporter, A racist Oregonian woman attacks a black family over a parking space, and while holiday shopping in Macy’s a customer got upset because two store employees were speaking in Arabic with each other while serving him. And of course, we’ve got ourAssHat & Champ of The Week announcements to get 2019 started right. So let’s get 2019 cracking with some podcasting yall.
