Michelle Obama

(Ep. 233) #TSRP “House Hunters: Special Hotep Edition”

Happy New Year! Welcome to the first episode of #TSRP of 2019! We start the new year off with some of Spann’s Random Thoughts, and reflections from the holiday season, and then we go into the top 5 things that happened in the world that should be left right back in 2018. We then hop right In The News, as Michelle Obama was named the most Admired Woman of 2018, a Pennsylvania court has ruled that a mother’s drug use during her pregnancy isn’t child abuse. And a Ring Doorbell catches two would-be home invaders on video. We move on to Blue Blazes, where a man who’s dubbed himself “The Sperminator”is donating his sperm to women all over the world. Even rendering his services in public restrooms. And has Sesame Street gone rater R? Video has been raging across social media of Sesame Street character Grover apparently dropping an F-Bomb. But is that really what he said? And in Special Hotep Unit, we’re introduced to Joel Fedd, who tried to claim a home worth around $500K in Georgia, because he’s a member of the “Indigenous Moors.” The home was his attempt at “claiming back the land.” We’ve got Cheaper To Keep Her news too, as Love & Hip Hop stars Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena are now engaged. But is this a real relationship, or just a ploy for yet another “very special Love & Hip Hop wedding?” And in Proud To Be American, the shooter at Parkland Florida’s Stoneman-Douglass High School is revealed to have been a staunch Trump Supporter, A racist Oregonian woman attacks a black family over a parking space, and while holiday shopping in Macy’s a customer got upset because two store employees were speaking in Arabic with each other while serving him. And of course, we’ve got ourAssHat & Champ of The Week announcements to get 2019 started right. So let’s get 2019 cracking with some podcasting yall. Right here, and right now here at The Spann Report!

(Episode 140) “Please Don’t Go”

Join Mr. Spann for Episode 140 of #TSRP as we talk about Michigan’s need for speed. As the speed limit in the state here has just gone up to 75 MPH on highways. Dylann Roof was convicted of killing the Charleston Nine and has received the death penalty. Why then are people admonishing black folks for celebrating this form of justice? A Dairy Queen owner exercised his 1st Amendment rights to be a racist, and life came at him fast when the consequences were handed out. (Guess who he voted for.) Why hasn’t Black Lives Matter denounced the kidnapping and torture of the white special needs teen in Chicago? Mr. Spann just might have the answer. Explosive developments have been reported that the Russian government has compromising information on AssHat-In-Chief Donald Chump. Could this be the reason why he’s been so dismissive of intelligence reports of Russian hacking into the DNC, and engaging in an influence campaign on the American people? And finally, we get the farewell address of President Barack Obama from Chicago, and we reflect on what his Presidency meant for Black people in America. All of that, and a little bit more on the next episode of The Spann Report!

(Episode 122) “All Over The Place”

Join Mr. Spann for episode 122 of #TSRP this Saturday, July 30th at 4:30 PM EST as we discuss cussing friends out on facebook, and being scared to death at the old school “Showbiz Pizza” joints back in the day. Michael Jordan finally breaks his silence on a political issue, but is it too little, too late for MJ? Lil Bow Wow says he’s mixed, and the rest of us just shrugged our shoulders. What’s wrong with what he said? And later in the show, we’ll talk about the Democratic National Convention that happened earlier in the week. We have a new AssHat and Champ this week, and more listener feedback. All of that this week on The Spann Report!
