(Ep. 35) #BNCPod “Gs Up College Down?”

On episode 35 of #BNCPod the fellas are back with more of the sports hot take tom foolery. After catching up with each other from the happenings of the week, we update our Beer N’ Chicken Super Bowl Pick Em brackets, and see if Cliff can be caught after going 4-0 during the first round of picks. We then hop right into it, as Cliff brings us the story of Isaiah Marshall, the 7th grade Quarterback from Southfield Michigan was just offered a scholarship from coach Jim Harbaugh and the University of Michigan. Is the kid really that good? And how early is too early for college coaches to be offering these young players scholarships? Then Spann takes us into the basketball arena. Scottie Pippen has just stated that he believes that Zion Williamson should shut himself down for the rest of the year, and get prepared for the NBA Draft. Which begs the question, with all 30 NBA teams now having G-League affiliated teams, has it become time for these players to forgo college altogether, and should the G-League finally step up as the farm system the NCAA has been for the NBA up to this point? And finally we stay in the NBA, as Kyrie Irving has admitted in an interview that he called LeBron James to apologize for how he was as a teammate, and that he really didn’t understand what it truly meant to be a leader of a team. Was this Kyrie Irving growing up, or was this a case of him throwing his Celtics teammates under the bus? We’ll discuss all of that, and of course, your boys will Wing It tonight. We don’t really know if Corona’s go well with Chicken Caesar Salads or not, but try that out and let us know while you listen in on episode 35 of The Beer N’ Chicken Podcast!

(Ep. 33) #BNCPod “About James Harden…”

The #BNCPod boys are back for the 2019 year ready to get right back to the ratchet sports talk banter you’ve come to know and love. We start this year off talking football. We give our predictions on how the NFL Playoffs will play out. Then we get to talking about The College Football Playoffs. Most of this college football’s bowl season is done, and we’re about to witness yet another Alabama Vs. Clemson National Championship game. Spann brings it up to the fellas that he believes the CFP should be expanded to at at least 6 teams, or at most 8 teams, to better judge who is the National Champion. We’ll see how that conversation plays out. Sticking with football, Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers has been making headlines over the course of the last week after he was benched by Mike Tomlin for not showing up for a team walkthrough the day before the game. Brown has said he want’s to be traded. But are these antics worth the trade to whatever team he may end up going to? Walt want’s to talk about it, so we’ll discuss. And finally, James Harden, has been on a tear these last few weeks, averaging close to 40 PPG in the last 10 games. Talk on ESPN has been speculating on whether or not Harden not only is the greatest offensive player in the game today, but some have been going so far as to say James Harden is the greatest offensive player of all time. Like for real, people are having this discussion. And we’re going to have it too, as Cliff brings right to the show. And of course, the fellas will be mouthing off uninterrupted during our Winging It segment. So sit back with your Chicken Parmesan, and a cold bottle of Peroni and chill with your boys right here on The Beer N’ Chicken Podacast!

(Ep. 30) #BNCPod “Here We Go Again”

Episode 30 of #BNCPod is here, with your boys back again for another night of sports talk shenanigans. Of course the fellas catch up with what each of them have been up to for the past week, and then we get right into the week’s sports topics. Cliff wants to talk about whether or not this current iteration of the Duke University basketball team is comparable to the old Michigan Fab Five team of the early 1990’s. And with Spann and Walt BOTH being huge University of Michigan fans, this might get loud. Walt wants to talk about the Detroit Pistons, and whether or not it’s safe for Pistons fans to get excited about the play the team has exhibited thus far. Are the Pistons for real, or are they setting up a lot of Pistons fans to get their heart broken. And Spann wants to address another high profile incident of domestic violence involving an NFL player. This time, the player is Kareem Hunt, the featured tailback for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was released by his team this past week. But the question that Spann has is, does the average NFL fan even care what he did? And then of course, the fellas close out the show with their uninterrupted hot takes with our “Wing It” segment. The holiday season is in full swing, so we know you might be strapped for cash, but you should still be able to pull out at least a Pabst Blue Ribbon, and a chicken tinder, and rock with your boys right here at The Beer N’ Chicken Podcast!

(Ep. 26) #BNCPod “Steph Da Goat… FIGHT ME!”

On episode 26 of #BNCPod the fellas are back and we’re talking basketball tonight. Cliff rolls though with a story about DeMarcus Cousins pulling a college freshman move, and only staying with the Golden State Warriors for this season. Then Walt brings us the story of Chris Webber finally coming back to the University of Michigan for the first time in 15 years. And Spann jumps out there with the crazy and poses the question, Could Steph Curry be the best player of his generation, but we’re too busy talking about Kevin Durant being on his team to notice? Could Steph Curry finish his career as a top 5 all time great even? Or does Spann need to lay off the Shock Top? We’ve got all of that, and of course, the fellas will Wing It tonight. So go to your nearest Popeye’s and get your 3 piece spicy and wash it down with a Dirty Blond brew, and kick it with your boys right here on The Beer N’ Chicken Podcast!

No Winging It tonight as we anticipate this being a lengthy episode. But is should be fun, so as always, grab a Wing, and a brew, and come kick it with the crew, right here on The Beer N’ Chicken Podcast!

(Ep 5) #BNCPod “Pay Them Boys!”

The Black Panther movie release last week was somewhat of an unofficial holiday, making it somewhat difficult to get all the fellas together to get on the mic to get into their regular shenanigans. But WE’RE BACK for episode 5 of The Beer N’ Chicken Podcast. Join your host Mr. Spann, Walt Lockdown, and Cliff AKA DJ Neff, as we dive into some of the stories we missed from last week. It’s gonna be real basketball heavy this week as we get into stuff like what did the guys think of NBA All Star Weekend last week? Has the NBA made the All Star Game something to care about again? Is the Dunk Contest back to being wack? Mark Cuban had to reach into his very deep pockets to pay a $600K fine for his comments about tanking in the NBA, but Walt threw us all for a loop, because neither Spann nor Cliff was ready for the Sexual Harassment claims being made against the Mavs organization. Should Mark Cuban lose his team? And the FBI has launched an exhaustive investigation into corruption and cheating by players and coaches in college basketball. Many big programs have been implicated from Michigan State, and Duke, To Kansas and Arizona. Could this news bring about the end of the player mandate to play at least 1 year of college ball before going pro? We’ll be discussing all of that, and maybe even get into some more Black Panther talk! LOL You never know.

(Episode 2) #BNCPod “Going To The Chip!”

On episode 2 of #BNCPod We are finally joined by co-host Walt Lockdown after getting the technical difficulties out of the way. Tonight we’ll be discussing the NBA, and the current rash of player involved altercations. Is there real acrimony among the players? Are they just bored? Could this have ramifications going forward? We’ll discuss that while also doing our 1st ever Super Bowl Picks as both the AFC & NFC Championships will be decided tonight, possibly DURING the show! And later into the show, the guys will “Wing It” for 2 minutes to talk about the 1 thing in sports that’s on their mind the most this week. So grab a brew, a wing, or both, and check us out, here at The Beer N’ Chicken Podcast!

(Episode 187) “Black Child Disappointment”

On episode 187 of #TSRP We hop right into the news as Donald Chump intervenes on behalf of the UCLA basketball players we were caught stealing in China, he then wondered publicly if he would be thanked for his actions. And we’ll ponder publicly why we think that is. 5 women have come forward to accuse comedian Louis CK of sexual misconduct, and he’s attempting to get right out in front of this story. Conservatives are once again destroying their own property. We’ll talk about what foolish reason they have for this round of stupidity. There is a new trans racial person on the scene. This time claiming to be of Filipino descent. Why lawd! WHY?!? Chrisette Michelle is trying to find herself some redemption within the black community with a new song. We’ll play it and see if it gets her invited back to the cookout. Kevin Durant just gave a lengthy interview with Bleacher Report about loyalty in the NBA. Has there EVER been loyalty in the NBA? And finally, we’ll talk about a viral video of a young girl who got a gift from her parents, but she didn’t have the reaction that everyone was expecting. Could she be the latest example of parenting for the internet gone wrong. We’ll discuss all of that and maybe a little bit more tonight on The Spann Report!
